No votes with reason "country of origin missing" |

| | Posted: | | | | I have got many no votes to my contributions just because I have not filled country of origin. In contribution rules I can'n find anything that says this is an obligatory field. And what is worse, this field can't be use with Finnish translation, because it causes "List index out of bounds (-1)" error if country names are translated. |

Probably among other I have voted "no" with a reason "country of origin missing", because there is another, earlier contribution, where the country IS stated. |

I haven't tried Finnish translation of DVDP 3.0 yet, because it is a known thing that the first translations are usually full of errors.
When there finally is field for country of origin I see no reason not to use that. Nor strip it away when somebody has contributed the profile with the country of origin -information.
By the way, slightly offtopic: when contributing Finnish profiles, please try to check that SRP is at least in correct currency. There are at the moment dozens of Finnish profiles contributed with SRP in US$ and some of those are replacing the profiles with the correct SRP information. It is somewhat frustrating to vote NO because of incorrect SRP when profile is otherwise correct. |
