| Posted: | | | | Hi I heard about DVd profiler many years ago but never got it installed. It was just today I found out the an iPhone4 version is soon to be approved.
Questions: If I insert an Austra;ia version dvd or Blu Ray disk into my drive, will DVD profiler recognise the disk? Will the iPhone app sync with the desktop?

If it is in the database, then it will be recognised. Profiler is a user built database so, if something isn't there, it just means that nobody has added it. I'm an Australian user and have used DVDProfiler for several years. I only have about 700 DVDs, but I have only had a few DVDs not recognised. I highly recommend this program. |

If I insert an Austra;ia version dvd or Blu Ray disk into my drive, will DVD profiler recognise the disk? As of today there are 27.346 DVD/BluRays in the database for Australia. This number is constantly increasing. Australia is in a quite special situation: Since many of your DVDs are for Region 2 too (mostly even have the Audio Tracks for many Region 2 countries) there are many users from Europe that contribute for your locality too, because they buy Australian media that sometimes aren't available here. But really, even if the DVD/BluRay in question isn't in the database (yet), which will mostly happen on new releases or some more obscure titles, it's almost fun to contribute a new profile. But please read the contribution rules first. They may seem a bit complicated at a first glance, but it basically boils down to "Take the data from the DVD and enter it as you see it". If any questions should arise on how to create a decent profile, or why a contribution didn't pass as expected we are always there to help. ... and most of us don't bite that hard that it really hurts EDIT: Almost forgot: Welcome to our asylum. Be aware that the use of DVDProfiler might increase your expenses on DVD/BluRays. When I started using it I bought about 30 DVDs a year, currently I'm at 200 per year, tendency: rising. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
