Adding "None" as an option in subtitles.

This is, I guess, a simple request

I often search the Invelos database for information about subtitles. If a disc does not contain subtitles then it would be useful, if the person that makes the contribution could select "None".

I always thought none would be a good option. This way you could tell if there really isn't any on the disc or if the work just wasn't done yet.

There should be further options:

[ ]  None
[ ]  Uncompleted
[ ]  Pre-Release Info
[ ]  Info only from Cover

You could also combine, like [x] None and [x] Info only from Cover.
Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect]

I don't think that this is really a use case since subtitles are only checkboxes. Who'd check "english" and "incomplete" and not check "spanish" and "french" to make 'em complete?

This is a problem we always have, may it be with aspect ratios, audio tracks or running time. Singling out subtitles seems rather arbitrary to me.

Good database design mandates that you can differentiate between "not entered" and valid values. Ergo +1.
And subtitles is not the only place where this rule should be applied.

The check boxes could be tri-state (present/non-present/unverified(default), but then I hope it also includes a check/uncheck all feature or there will be a lot of clicking...

I'm thinking about those people who do not find Suomi, Magyar, Iw or Hrvatski in their list of Subtitles.

The "Other" option fills that need.

These are Finnish, Hungarian, Hebrew and Croatian, respectively. This is why some people may start a list, but not finish it.
