| Posted: | | | | I've got the same problem as the original posters in the following threads
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=550046
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=576156
The problem started in mid-January but I have used the free version of DVD Profiler for several years.
I do not have (and have never had) eMusic Download Manager (EDM) installed. A system restore from 2 weeks ago did not resolve the issue and I do not have earlier restore points.
A complete uninstall/re-install of DVD Profiler did not help.
Please advise how to fix this. |

Pressing CTRL did not make any difference. The Access Violation messages (2 of them) come up before any Diagnostic selection is offered.
I have pasted below the information from the first Access Violation message. Any further suggestions please?

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I did press and hold the CTRL key.
I even held the CTRL key while clicking the "OK" buttons on the Access Violation windows, after which DVD Profiler just quit.
This is really strange as I have not had any issues with DVD Profiler for many years and the access violation errors started to appear suddenly. I do have a database backup from early Jan so I hope to be able to get DVD Profiler working again successfully.
Thanks again for your suggestions. |

| Posted: | | | | I know you did an uninstall / reinstall, but did you reboot in-between? Also, clear the recycle bin. Again, just a stab in the dark (based on seeing a bunch of SW weirdness over the years). Think objectively about ANYTHING you have done prior to the error - any SW APP update, driver update, even the simplest program install. Anything you can reverse, try it - and reboot. Does the error occur too, when you start Windows in safe mode? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Same issue, brand new install of OS; I don't believe blame should be placed on any other software, it's unfortunate, but DVD Profiler hasn't been updated in 1 year, I liked this program, money may go elsewhere if no fix is delivered. |

On most of the Windows installations DVDProfiler is running without any problems. On the occasions where problems occurred the disturber usually got identified as "other software". | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | Just to add another experience: I have the same crashs from the first install of DVD Profiler on Windows HP 7 64bit. There are lots of reports of this error here and at other places. The only one to solve the problem or do further investigation is Invelos (the crash reports should be a good starting point for the developers). But obviously Invelos is not interested as I have neither seen any comments nor received any response at all to several attempt to get in contact. I was willing to use the program on my desktop and my mobile devices but as it is not working... Regarding the development of the program (nothing happened for over a year) there is little hope the problem will be solved. In fact it seems there is no interest in further development at all...

| Posted: | | | | This error is unrelated to the operating system. Virtually all of them are solved by uninstalling eMusic Download Manager, which attaches itself to the Windows networking components and crashes DVD Profiler, among other programs. |
