| Posted: | | | | Help me figuring out a cartoon character I watched long ago.
I remember an animated female chasing a male and when she saw/found him she would exclaim "a man!". It was said loudly and hinted at a southern accent.
I thought it was a Looney Toons character because I thought Leghorn Foghorn was the male. But, when I looked up all the characters I didn't recognize anyone.
I thought the female was a large chicken, Miss Prissy seems to be too small.
Help - this has been driving me crazy! |

| Posted: | | | | Roger Rabbit is waaay to new - I'd been out of high school for almost 15 years when it came out!
The cartoon I'm thinking of was from my childhood - maybe the early 1960s.
Jessica does remind me of the character I remember though. |

"they stole the line") With Google I did find another Forum where somebody was talking about Foghorn Leghorn cartoons where hens with hearts swirling over their heads would exclain "a man" when they saw him. But a YouTube search didn't turn up that episode yet. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | The character in Who Framed Roger Rabbit was Lena Hyena. Like most toons in that movie, she was a long established character. Kathy presumably saw one of her earlier appearances. The character originated in Lil' Abner, but I haven't found a list of her earlier animated stuff. |

| Posted: | | | | This is the only episode I recall where Miss Prissy says, "A man!" But assuming that is not it, I do also think I remember another that may be what you are talking about. There was a large brown-feathered chicken chasing after someone like Barnyard Dawg instead. Every time she saw him, she's say, "I maaaan!" and chase after him. In one instance, he hid inside of a barn against a wall, and she either saw him through the window or a little hole, you hear, "A maaaan!" and pulls him out. Then again, I could be wrong on all counts, but I could hear that voice as clear as day as soon as I read your post. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | This sounds like Of Rice and Hen, though that was Miss Prissy. You may have combined this with Little Boy Boo or another in your head. |
