| Posted: | | | | Here near Chicago- Looks like power is going to be out for some till July 5th. Today 100 degrees and humid. Friday nights storm went south of me. Sunday's storm went north of me. I've been lucky so far this past week. |

| Posted: | | | | I couldn't imagine the power being out here right now. It got to 108° F last week here...which was an all-time high. Of course the humdity here is always punishing, so the heat index felt like it was far hotter than that.
It's still hovering around 100° F daily this week... | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Live in the Bolingbrook/Romeoville IL area. A few days ago a storm went through here with 87MPH winds. For a short time it looked like a hurricane. Surprising that the power didn't get knocked out. That really bad storm that hit in the Chicagoland area went North and East of here, hardly got anything at all.
It's been hot and humid, Looks like we won't get any sort of relief until the weekend when it'll drop to the mid 80's. Well if you can call that relief. But it's better than being near 100 like it will be for most of this week. |

| Posted: | | | | We've had record highs for the last month or two in Buffalo - mostly in the 80s during the day and 70's at night. We've also had mostly sunny days with only a few days of rain.
We're blessed though - no storms, tornadoes, loss of power or anything like some people are going through. |

| Posted: | | | | WGN this morning is saying 99 today and 100 both tomorrow and on Thursday. Heat indexes near 105-110 these three days.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine even trying to deal with this heat without power. It's one thing to live without AC, but without power you can't even run a fan.
Speaking of WGN, this morning they aired live coverage of a dog loose on an expressway. The little gal was finally caught, but plenty of close calls. |

| Posted: | | | | Expecting another record day in NY area, and thunderstorms later in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if they get a bit violent. Monthly electric budget is totally shot, but at least we had a mild winter. Haven't used much fuel oil this year. Paul And July isn't much better! So The Moles are off to Provence next week for a fortnight's holiday. For those who do not know Provence, it is best described as "God's Own Country" where the weather is always perfect, the swimming pool is refreshingly cool, the food is glorious and the Cotes du Rhone flows freely! In short, nothing like the South of England at the moment! | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by Mole |

Air conditioning is such an alien foreign thing to me. Never had one or used one. I just open a window, that seems to work pretty well. It's good to see a thread about the weather that started in Amercia has been hijacked by Brits. We basically invented weather anyway. Actually I'd like to see Profiler have a section in it to include the weather seen in each DVD, a bit like the Features section. Must head over to the Rules Forum... | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". I don't think they need air-con north of Hadrian's Wall.....does the temperature ever get above freezing, up there? | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by Mole |
