I have dvd profiler on my desktop and my laptop, I have backed up my database on to a memory stick and I would like to use the database info without loading it onto my laptop.

1) Create a new database from DVDProfiler menu "File -> Open Database..." as location give the USB device, make sure to flag "Copy existing database"
2) Close DVDProfiler
3) Unplug USB-Device
4) Plug USB-Device to your Laptop
5) Point the DVDProfiler installation to the new location using menu "File -> Open Database..."

Always make sure to close DVDProfiler before unplugging the USB-Device, otherwise DVDProfiler will crash on next database access.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

sorry lewis_prothero, that diden't seem to work for me, the "as location" would not change from c:\Users\Sony\Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases.
A box came up telling me that it has sent a report to invelos, and then the box would not close down, I had to use task manager to cancell the program.

OK,
Once more with feeling:

1) Did you have the USB-Device plugged to the system?
2) How exactly did you try to create a new database? (Please name all menus and buttons you clicked on)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
