I have no problems with it. It just works - and I guess that is how cloud storage is supposed to be.

Heard about the Amazon CloudDrive yet?

It comes with 5 GByte free storage and is available (at least) for American, British and German customers.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Is there any advantages compared to SkyDrive?

Not sure if SkyDrive still has the file-size limitation. If "Yes", CloudDrive has an advantage, if "No", the only "advantage" would be to not having to register this M$ NetPassport.

Expanding the space can easily become expensive though. 1TB costs € 400 per year (Germany).

Skydrive comes with 7GB storage for free. Extra storage can be purchased. $10 per year for 10GB, $25 per year for 50GB and $100 per year for 100GB.

Files up to 300mb can be uploaded via the web browser. If you install the app, though, files up to 2GB can be uploaded. The app is available for Windows and Mac (and most mobile platforms, too, but I don't know the file size limit if using a mobile platform).
