| Posted: | | | | I installed a new Blueray device so I can view Blueray disks and also my old DVD drive was nearly dead. I tried to get profiler 3.8.1 to recognise the drive as a DVD device but it just says NONE. I am not sure if this is a new feature request or a bug but it I am not putting my DVD drive back in just to read the DISC ID Can the developer tell us if they can change the code so profiler recognises BlueRay and DVD devices? I also intend to add a second BlueRay device so I can mass cut my collection to a Home Server and archive my collection for safe keeping |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds like your new hardware is not installed correctly. Software like DVD Profiler access DVD drives through standard Microsoft interfaces. If the drive is installed correctly, DVD Profiler (and all other windows software) will automatically recognize it.
Do other programs on your PC (Windows Media Player, PowerDVD, etc.) recognize the new hardware properly? Can you see the drive in the Windows Explorer and right-click "Open" the contents of a DVD? If the answer is yes to all of those, then you might have a valid issue - if not, then your hardware is not installed correctly. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
