| Posted: | | | | The iOS version of DVD Profiler works best as an extension to the PC version. Used stand-alone it is rather limited. However, there are at least two options;
1) Use filters. You can create a filter for genre=Television and another for genre=NOT television. 2) Use the Sort option and sort on genre. That will keep all Television sorted together. But you'll get everything else grouped by genre as well.
The bad news regarding both these options is that you cannot (AFAIK) edit the genres on the iOS Profiler, so you're stuck with whatever the contributors have set as genre, which means that you'll get not only TV shows, but TV movies, TV documentaries and what have you.
If you want to get the most out of DVD Profiler you need the PC version (and wifi). If you are the least serious about keeping track of your collection this is a no-brainer, in my opinion. If you haven't already done so, you can download the PC version for free and try it. As long as you limit yourself to less than 50 titles, you get pretty much all the functionality. If you like what you see, 30 bucks will get you the full version. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
