| Posted: | | | | I would like to have an option to set default media type for each custom collection category. It would be nice that if I move, or add a profile to certain collection category, that profile media type would be automatically changed to that pre-defined media type. I use custom collection categories for several things (PS3 games owned, PS3 games wishlist, VOD to watch, Netflix to watch etc.) and I have created own media types for each category. Now I have to manually change media type every time I move a profile to certain category. I would like this to be automated. | | | Last edited: by Kulju |

| Posted: | | | | Since I use custom collections differently than you do, I would never want automatic changes to take effect when I move a profile from one category to another. So while I have no objection to your request, the default behavior IMO should be to make no changes to profiles when moving them between collections.

I agree with you and that's why used a word "option". I also have categories where I wouldn't like automatic changes. |

And if you move a "VOD to watch" to "PS3 games wishlist" it should automatically be changed to that default Media Type? Sounds weird. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Automatically change the Media Type when moving a profile to another Collection Category is the least useful feature request I've read for a long time. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. Automatically change the Media Type when moving a profile to another Collection Category is the least useful feature request I've read for a long time. So you finally got the point? Did mami help? Maybe it's the least useful feature request for you, because you don't use Custom Collection Categories as I (and maybe others)? Those can be used in several different ways. Film enthusiast can use them for media files, Laser discs, VHS, Netflix to watch, what to rent, watch lists etc. Some people use them for games, books, beer, wines... Options are almost endless. For filtering purposes it's handy to have different media types for some of them, so they don't screw up statistics. I would also like to have default "count as" option for Custom Collection Categories for same reasons. It's annoying to manually change media types and cont as values correct one-by-one after you have added them to certain collection. This could be easily automated. Do you ever have anything even remotely intelligent to say? I really cannot remember when was the last time. Your just a troll, and not even a good one, since almost all of your posts are trolling and everyone here knows that. |

| Posted: | | | | Since your thread got derailed a little, I'll add my support. I can't imagine myself using it, but I have no problem with options I don't need to turn on. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Not to forget DJ Doena with "I can understand Kulju's frustration with your constant and deliberate stupidity in every thread you post."
