| Posted: | | | | The initial Beta is now available. See the top posts in this forum for instructions to opt in.Here are some notes for the Beta: - As with the public release on the Google Play store, this Beta includes Google app store verification, so will only work if you've purchased the DVD Profiler app via that store. - We're working hard in this release to address stability issues, so if you've experienced repeated crashes or error messages in the current public release, please try to find a set of steps to reproduce the problem with consistency in the current public release, then you can test against the Beta for comparison. In addition to stability improvements, the following functionality changes are in 1.1.0: Features- Added Movie Pick, available directly from the nav menu. - Added report selection and printing via DVD Profiler for Windows. - Easter eggs are now viewable - Filters now optionally search within box sets (This is configurable via the Settings screen) - An uninstall/re-install will now locate and display databases stored on SD cards (databases stored in main memory are removed by the OS when the app is removed). Previous versions would orphan the SD databases. Fixes / Improvements- Changed date formatting to use user preference from system settings instead of default for selected device locality - "Connection test succeeded" message no longer shows with incorrect server information entered - Custom genres now download and display correctly for DPO connections - An interrupted DPO sync will now resume at the next connection attempt rather than starting over - Operations that read/write profiles should be noticeably faster, including profile selection and especially database syncing. Please see the What to Report/How to Report topic in this forum for reporting instructions. Note: You may see an error validating license message. This is normal during Beta. Build 34 has been published with the following changes: - Fixed: Auto-linking of orphaned databases could result in a mislinked database - Possible fix for blank drop-down menus, please test and let me know - Fixed: New custom entries default all countries of origin to US - The Error 3 message should no longer appear during license validation - For newly created databases, the file folder structure has been changed to work around the limits of FAT file systems on removable memory cards | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | HEy Ken, just wanted to know before I install does this install beside the purchased app and access the same DB or is it it's own install and will need a DB sync of its own ?
Just wondering about flipping between installs to test issues etc.
Thanks,

| Posted: | | | | Just a quick note that we'll be updating the Android beta as soon as tomorrow. Among the changes in this build is improved compatibility with Android 4.4 (KitKat) and higher OS.
Those running KitKat are likely aware that apps are no longer allowed to access the SD card fully. Due to this change, anyone running a prior version of DVD Profiler, with one or more databases stored on the SD card, will need to move the database folder. Unfortunately, this is a manual process as there is no way for apps to move folders from the old location on KitKat and up.
We've prepared a step-by-step walkthrough to move the database folders, and the program will prompt users to view and follow these steps when appropriate.
If the user is running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher, the program will move the database folders on the SD card automatically when the new version is run the first time. We do this to ensure the program is ready for KitKat in case the device is upgraded at a future date. Android versions prior to 4.1 will remain unchanged as it is unlikely that they will be eligible for a KitKat update. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

| Posted: | | | | No, there's no mixup. The build number for this update is 38. We've published it to the Google Play Store beta section, so if you're signed up for DVD Profiler Betas, you'll see the update appear sometime in the next few hours.
