| Posted: | | | | When you use a backup file from another user (specially for headshots), and if this backup file contains profiles data, even if you don't restore profile data, you replace your own custom genres by the custom genres in the backup file.
I think Ken can correct this bug.
Waiting for this, before restoring anything from an external database, it is essential to backup your own collection. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Wow, I wonder why nobody noticed this before?
But as I think about it, it sort of makes sense. How would you want or expect it to work instead? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

But in this case if the profile has a custom genre that is not in your collection, this genre should be added to the existing ones, not replace them. And when you restore only non-profile data (headshots, gallery images, translations or reports), it doesn't make sense to get automatically custom genres, in my opinion. | | | Images from movies |

I am suffering from knowing something about the internals. In fact, all cast/crew headshots and custom headshots are tied to the database key (profileID). So when you load a headshot by restoring a profile, you get other profile info overlaid. I don't remember if a restore operation respects locks ... Anyway, plugins do have the ability to load and save headshots independent of other profile data. So I am playing with a couple of BulkEdit menus for doing that. What do you think ... useful or not? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

We already can save headshots only, when we uncheck profiles when making backup files. So the problem appears only with backup files containing profiles data. In fact the problem is less with headshots than with genres. I understand that with a new profile we can get new custom genres, but I do not understand why existing custom genres should be deleted. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Bummer, as usual I jumped the gun and did it already. Oh well, maybe it will be interesting anyway. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |
