Hi,

I really need the Disc Location # to be visible when you view your collection. It would be great if you could customize sort so that one could choose between Coll #, Disc Location, Title. any of the choosable fields actually.

I use Location to number my DVDs and BDs  and they have one number series each, so using the Coll # is of no use.

More functionality is always good, so +1

Are those LocationCollectionNumbers numeric or did you include letters?

If they are only numbers perhaps you could attack the problem from a completely different angle by using Collection Categories (article in DVD Profiler Community Knowledge Base)
One Category for DVD one for BD, both included in Owned.

To try it out you could make a full backup (always a good idea), create a new database (File -> Open Database -> New Database ... ) and restore a dozen or so profiles and give it a spin.
If you don't like it reload the default and scrap the test-database.
If however you like what you see, you could use the plugin BulkEdit to move your Location-numbers to the proper Collection Numbers with it, as the name says in bulk.

Mithi, thanks for the idea! I will try using Coll# and Collection categories.

BTW, anybody know how to do a bulk-move between Collections, "Move to" only seems to work on current highlighted title.

Hi again,

since Coll # is at least "unique within category", it does not work well as disc case labelling when you have cases with multiple discs and titles. All titles need then to have the same number and Disc Location let you do that, but not Coll # which insists on unique numbers per title.

So please, I would love to be able to see the Disc Location #/txt in the android version!

Flagging (either by hand or filtering and Ctrl&A) and Collection -> Flagged -> Move to.

Well they don't have to be unique, you can set them by hand any way you want. You just can never use the automatic renumbering, which is most likely a non-problem for you anyways.

I realized this today when I discovered a bug in the Android version, it stopped giving me unique numbers and I had suddenly several discs with same Coll# (#457), I now have to manually choose Coll#, so I think I will have a go again at your suggestion

Mithi, thanks a lot. I did as you suggested and it works perfectly!

Now both Windows and Android versions are taking me quickly to my numbered disc cases :-)

Greetings
