For various reasons I want to delete all the Tags from my collection.

Is there an easy way to do this without trolling through over 1000 entries and editing each one manually?

Thanks

First, Backup your database.

Goto Filters; select the Tags tab. Select whichever tag you want.
Goto Collection List. CTRL-A to flag all filtered profiles.
Clear all filters. Make sure that the flagged profile are the ones you want.
Goto Flagged; select Set Tags. Uncheck the tag you want to delete later.

When all Tags are unchecked and not in use in any profile, Goto Set Tags and delete away.

Do that.

Then clear all filters

The press Ctrl-A

Then go to Collection -> Flagged -> Set Tags

Now set the tag you want to delete (and all child tags) to unchecked. Not checked and also not the square (which just means some profiles have it and some don't)

Thanks guys.  I'd spent ages fiddling with the Set Tags window and the Edit Tag function there but I hadn't realised there was additional function available from the main menu.

As an aside, thanks also for explaining the meaning of the square - I had wondered.
