| Posted: | | | | I think it's great that DVDProfiler allows me to include a box set as well as all the discs within the set (a feature many other DVD catalogs don't have). However, it seems to be pretty janky.
First of all, is there no way to just add the box set and have it automatically include all the discs within it? Or at least a button to do so. AS it is now I have to go search up each individual movie by title, add all the duplicates (there's usually at least two or three identical versions of each title, only one of which will automatically nest into the box set), then go back to my library and tediously delete all the ones that didn't nest. Could there at least be a way to manually enter titles into a box set?
Then I'm often left with the frustration that one or two titles simply won't nest. (For example the first Rocky refuses to join his brothers within the box set).
And finally, is there a way to move titles around (both in the main library and within a box)? For example "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" appears before all the other Nightmare on Elm Streets in the box set. Or "The Ultimate Scream Collection" set lands under 'U' instead of where I'd prefer it to be in 'S'
It's a great feature, I just wish it worked right or was more customizable. |

| Posted: | | | | Once you have added the "boxset" to your collection, you can flag it, then go to "Collection>Flagged>Check for Child Profiles". If the children (and grandchildren) are in the database, it will ask if you want them added. This will only work if the "boxset" profile already has the children listed in the "boxset" field.
You can use the "Sort Title" field to get them to display in whatever order you wish. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | Hal's suggestion will only work on the PC version of the program. Unless the Android app is radically different than the iOS version. I'm not sure how you would accomplish that with the Android app. Not saying it's not possible, I just don't know how. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I never used the PC version, but figured it might be something doable there that hasn't transitioned to the mobile versions yet.
But like the forum title says, it's a feature request. |
