Hi,

I'm trying to make a report with the name of the person who loaned the dvd's and the list of DVD's he borrowed with the date he has to return it.

I have been trying different ways but every time each dvd is shown on a different page.
I would like to have it on the same page.
For example:

Name of the Person

Date of today

DVD 1                          Number of dvd 1          date when the dvd has to return
DVD 2                          Number of dvd 2          date when dvd 2 has to return
etc.

I have been trying but I can't seem to find a sollution.
Is this possible and if so can someone please help me make such a Report.

Thank You,

Nico Voet

There is a report available for download named Title Listing loaned to (v 1.2).
Sort the reports by title and go to page 96. If not exactly what you want, at least a starting point.

DVD Profiler's function is by title. It is not a database that allows you to sort by any field. Sure, you can filter by a lot of stuff, but you are still presented the information only by title.

Therefore you will only see a particular user's name when it next appears with a title. There might be 10 titles between th first time the name appears, and the next.

There is no way I know of to get around that. If you can get the output of the report into a text file that you can import into Excel, then you can sort the list there by the user's name.

In other words, you want a MySQL database of all your discs.  I'm not sure you want to try and build such a database just to be able to do this.

It would be nice to be proven wrong.

UPDATE: I've just noticed that a CSV plugin exists, so you can create a simple report and export it to a CSV file an import it into Excel for further sorting.

ProfilerQuery can help you get at least part of the way. It can give you something like this:

You can sort it by "Loaned to" in order to see who has loaned what.
PeofilerQuery doesn't have a print option, but "File -> Save and run" will open the result in your default spreadsheet program and you can use that to further enhance and print your list.
