| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I just purchased this app for my iphone and tried to scan the barcode for some of my movies. Two out of ten scanned and added to my collection, the rest did not. It's not like they were unheard of movies either one of them was The Huntsman Winters War. Does anyone know why it would not scan the UPC? Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | The database is created by users, so it is possible that at least some of the items you scanned are not available in the database (yet).
The first thing I suggest you try, is typing in the UPC manually (make sure to select the appropriate Locality of the item you purchased, or just set/leave it to "Any Locality"). If the profile for the movie shows up this way, then the barcode scanning is a problem, but if it cannot be found this way either, then it is probably not in the database.
When you post next time, maybe mention the UPC of the movie in the post, that will make it easier for folks to respond (the support ton this site is also mainly by other users). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you. I tried it and it still didn't work. I changed the locality to anywhere. The UPC is 883929560974 and it was not found. Any more suggestions. |

| Posted: | | | | I never thought of that. Lord I hope not because I have over 4,000 movies and I really don't want to type them all in by title. I thought scanning the barcode would be so much easier. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, I don't think there is any reason to despair just because some newer titles are missing from the database. I'd say there's a good chance that most of your titles that are a bit older will be found in the database.
If you have a PC (or something that can run Windows as a guest OS) I would really recommend that you get the desktop version of DVD Profiler as well. While the iOS version can certainly be used by itself, it becomes so much more useful in conjuction with the desktop version. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
