| | Posted: | | | | I am not sure if this is the correct section, but as I can't find anything for a little "small talk" about other stuff, I simply give it a try in here:
Like quite sure several other users here I not only collect DVDs, but CD's, too.
There are several programs aounrd, freeware and expensive stuff, to archive a CD-Collection. But the aspects to archivate are nearly the same for all of them: Name of the Album, year, genre, song titles...
As DVD Profiler has that cast/crew section I thought about a version (or an add on) of this program for CDs. As there are several musicians who had a job at several bands or the lots of bands where only the name remained but none of the original members, it would be interesting to have a database which lists the musicians for each and every album (at least album as it might be kind of impossible to do that job for every song of a sampler).
So my question: What do you think about an add on which makes that possible for DVD Profiler (creating a second collection only for music) or an alternative version of the program itself for collecting CDs (and LPs and so on) the way I described? |

| | Posted: | | | | Short answer is no. Invelos will not create a CD (or Book or Wine) Profiler. They can barely keep up with Blu-ray technology (*cough* atmos *cough*).
And I've never seen any plugin developer jump at the idea of creating such an extension. | | | Karsten
