I have realized that my program EpisodeCheck isn't as useful as it could be if you don't have the episodes sorted in the order that they appear on disc. If the data is taken from IMDb, the order usually matches, but not always.

I have contemplated several ways to fix this, but before I do anything I would just like to check if there is some way of reordering episodes that I am not aware of?

No, what I was refering to was TV show episodes within a profile, in the cast and crew listings.

This is not directly about your EpisodeCheck, but one thing that troubles me the most with DVD Profiler is that we are stuck by using the sorting in order of disc encoding. Fortunately most companies have the correct order, but there is on some shows a big difference between "production order", "TV debut order" and "intended order". On some shows you almost don't realize that, on others it completely screws up the timeline.

Some examples are:
"American Gothic" (except the german box which has the correct order)
"Crusade" (Babylon 5 spin-off)
"Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place" (especially Season 1)
"Bones" (especially Season 1)
"Earth 2"

It would be great to have at least some option to display the episode data in a different order, even if we stick to "contributed as encoded on disc".

Well, the reason that I asked here was that I wanted to be able to reorder the episodes in cast and crew, and I am now developing a tools that let's you do just that.

This may not be exactly what you wanted, but you can reorder the episodes any way you want and keep it local. Look for an upcoming announcement in the Plugins forum.

Edit: Alternatively you can copy the cast data from this tool and paste it directly into EpisodeCheck, if you want to.
