| Posted: | | | | DvD Pro 4.0 Build 1762 I periodically run Database Query to check my collection and started noticing a lot of profiles with Import CDs as the purchase place. Upon further investigation, it appears that the majority of these were actually purchased on Amazon. In looking through some of the other Purchase Places, there are more errors, but there doesn't appear to be a pattern. It appears that random older purchases have the wrong purchase location, but all other details appear to be correct.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? I didn't see anything when I searched for "purchase place" in the tech forum. |

| Posted: | | | | weird - it sounds like the indexing of your purchase places has shifted a bit. I don't think I've seen this happen before. Did you delete, rename or re-add Amazon or any other purchase places on your database? |

| Posted: | | | | Now that you mention it, I did add a new vendor to the list. |

| Posted: | | | | Does anyone know where I can find the list of purchase places so I can see if/how that file was corrupted? |

| Posted: | | | | I would suggest comparing the output of another plugin or tool, or look at the XML collection or the collection window with purchase place column selected. Just double check whether the glitch is actually in the database vs the plugin display.
Also, I would be interested if you ever used BulkEdit to modify purchase places. If I have a bug in there, I want to fix that ASAP. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | Its definitely in the database. And it only changed the purchase place, the price and date are all correct. I do remember cleaning up my list of retailers a while back. That must be the culprit. And I have never used BulkEdit. | | | Last edited: by JLYoung |

| Posted: | | | | I've just discovered exactly the same problem. I haven't added a new vendor, nor touched the vendor file in any way, in years. However I find that a number of random titles haves either lost the "purchase place" or randomly changed it, often to Amazon UK (which I've not used in years) or a long defunct local Australian store (HMV).
Everything else seems fine, so I suppose it counts and nuisance rather than disaster. However it bothers me that personal information can be corrupted so easily, and without my noticing.
Anyone else noticed? Perhaps some other would be kind enough to sample check their collections. |
