| Posted: | | | | I recently started using this program version 4.0.0 build 1762. I have entered a couple hundred DVDs in the program located on my desktop computer. Everything seemed fine and I have paid for the registration so that I could utilize all features. I would now like to run a copy on my laptop computer. I installed the program and made a backup from my original program. When I try to restore on the laptop it states, "The file format is later version than the program's version. The new format is incompatible with this version. To process this file, obtain newer copy of DVD Profiler." I have double checked and it certainly looks like both computers are running exactly the same version.... I tried searching for a solution, but was unsuccessful...any suggestions? |

| Posted: | | | | You might have mistakenly downloaded the Beta from the bottom of the page, which is also labeled 4.0.0 build 1762, but with an earlier release date. Best to get the one from the top of the page. You might also want to take note of the upgrade steps listed on the downloads page. Follow those steps and make a new backup. Then double check that the latest version of 4.0.0 1762 is in fact installed on the laptop. Edit: Glad it see it worked for you! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the reply. I did a lot of trial and error efforts, but to make a long story short I followed your advise on reading the upgrade steps. After repairing the database and doing a new backup, the resulting file worked just great... Thanks again for the help, very much appreciated. |
