This is usually caused by a missing or corrupted Tahoma font. The Tahoma font is a standard Windows font that is installed by default on all versions of Windows from 95 and up.
You can download the tahoma font here. Download and open the file to install it. Alternatively, open the Fonts section of the Windows Control Panel and install it via that interface.
This error can also be caused by a corrupted online profile list file. To correct this, from DVD Profiler's main menu, select Online->Refresh Online Profile List while holding CTRL.

DVD Profiler uses the windows regional settings to determine date formats. All numeric date formats, such as 12/1/2001, or 2001-12-1 will work correctly. However, date formats which use the month name are not compatible with DVD Profiler.
To resolve this, visit the Windows control panel, regional settings. For the Short Date format, select a format that uses numeric entries. Avoid selecting any format with 'MMM' for the month, which will use the month name.
Open the first database via File->Open Database. Back up your collection via File->Backup Database.
Next, open the second database. You may wish to also create a backup file for this database for safety before proceeding.
Select File->Restore Database. Select the first backup file, click Next. Choose the option to Restore Specific Profiles. Click Select All, and proceed.
Note that while this will merge the databases, if the same entry is in both databases, only the restored entry will be present in the merged database.
